Kathy and I opened Jeffrey’s Restaurant in June of 1985. We were young; Kathy was 24, and I was 25. We both had restaurant experience. She as a server and I as a cook. I had been working in management at TJ's Pantry in Clarkston where Tomato Brothers is now. An opportunity came up to open Jeffrey’s at 244 Thain Road in Lewiston and we took it! Seven children and fifteen grandchildren later------we're not so young anymore.
Starting out, we couldn’t have known how many friends we would meet. We have been blessed to enjoy our association with everyone in the L-C Valley.
Some of our signature items include hand cut Bite Size Steak, our hand-breaded Chicken Fried Steak plus our great, freshly breaded and made-to-order, Deep Fried Cod. For lunch we are known for our homemade soups, clam chowder that is served daily and a variety of burgers, sandwiches and three types of fries. Breakfast is served all day! I learned to make our country gravy in a truck stop in the Tri-Cities, Washington and people love it! Our Omelets are great along with the BBIT (Best Breakfast In Town). And if all that isn’t enough, Kathy makes amazing cheesecakes and pies; they'redelicious. We make most menu items from scratch, including gluten friendly bread in Coeur d’Alene.
